Mystery Solved
An entire website devoted to nostalgia about foods from the 80s.

Royals
The M&M's company put these out in the mid to late eighties. They were mint chocolate candies that came in brown and green colors. They were larger than M&M's and very delicious. This is one candy from the eighties that I really miss.
And I thought I was wasting time....
Mint M&M Precursor??
This rings a bell... vaguely....

Actually, I believe mint M&Ms have been tried, although under the name Royals. I remember picking up a few packs when I was visiting Chicago back in '82, and wondering later whatever happened to them. I'm pretty sure it was a Mars product, but I could be mistaken.

On a peanut butter sandwich?
http://www.funmansion.com/post/showthread.php?p=4695
Blogger says:
Okay, so I went to Target this morning and saw mint M&Ms. By afternoon, I was craving them, along with peanut butter. So I made a peanut butter sandwich with mint M&Ms and put it in a sandwich maker. I thought it tasted good although I can't say it was good for my waistline!!
Does that mean she grilled the peanut butter & Mint M&M sandwich?
This is NOT what we are talking about!
If your personal obsession relates to crispy mint M&Ms then please exit this blog immediately. Thank you.
Nutrition information
My next post will be a detailed calculation of exactly how much of my body fat can be directly attributed to the consumption of an estimated six bags of mint M&Ms over the last four Christmases.
But first, I need the nutrition info. Better go buy a bag....
My brother Brad reports they can be found at the Clicks in Akron, Ohio. Mmmmm....
